Kerry Green, a professional photographer from Rayleigh, has raised over £3,000 for Southend Hospital’s Women’s Clinic after taking photos of almost 200 families on their doorsteps during lockdown.

Between March and July, Kerry used her daily exercise to walk around her local area to take photos of families outside their front doors, capturing people during this unusual moment in time with their loved ones. All Kerry asked for in return was donations to Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity.

Mum of three Kerry said: “The Women’s Clinic was a critical part of each one of my three pregnancies. I wanted to help in some way during the global pandemic and give something back to the hospital where I gave birth.”

Deborah Pattison, Women’s Clinic Manager at Southend Hospital, said: “Kerry’s fundraising will allow us to make improvements to the environment within our department, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible experience and are kept at the heart of our hospital.”
