Special interests: My main sub-specialty interest is interventional cardiology (coronary angioplasty) including the management of chronic total occlusions, left main stem disease, rotational atherectomy. I also participate in the on-call service for emergency cardiology patients at the Essex Cardio-thoracic Centre (CTC). I also contribute to the management of general adult cardiology patients at Southend Hospital and the Essex CTC. I implant pacemakers at Southend Hospital as part of my contribution to the cath lab activities there. I have a weekly out-patient clinic for general adult cardiology patients at Southend. My research interests are in coronary physiology related to chronic total occlusion angioplasty and the management of patients with acute coronary syndromes (heart attacks) including those with out of hospital cardiac arrest
