Hospital helps make Len’s 100th birthday special
A patient’s 100th Birthday was made special, thanks to the efforts of compassionate hospital staff.
Leonard Seeley, an Ilford resident, was admitted to Broomfield Hospital, a part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, for a surgery on his finger just before his 100th birthday. The staff decorated the Stock ward, where Len stayed, brought cakes, and sang Happy Birthday to make his centenary memorable.
Melanie Chambers, Interim Director of Nursing at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust said: “We were thrilled to celebrate Len's remarkable 100th birthday. It was a joyous occasion and brought smiles to both our team and the patient.”
Staff across the Trust work to ensure that every patient’s stay is as comfortable and pleasant as possible by going the extra mile and creating a friendly and welcoming environment.
