Hospitals go football crazy as patients gifted opportunity to watch Euro Finals
Patients in the Trust hospitals will be given the chance to watch the Euro Finals for free, thanks to Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity.
The charity has installed Wi-fi spark at Basildon and Broomfield to show this for free on Sunday on all the patient bedside TV’s. This is being funded by the proceeds of the Staff Lottery.
Southend does not have patient bedside TVs but most areas now have TVs and aerials, again purchased by the Charity team.
Lucy Thomas-Clayton, Mid and South Essex Hospital Charity lead, said: “It’s hard for patients who are in hospital convalescing, we wanted to spread a little joy and didn’t want patients and staff to miss out on this historic final. We hope the atmosphere will bring some needed cheer, as we all get behind the England team.”
Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity funds many different projects to improve patient care and provides extra luxuries that help patients and staff to have a better experience. For more information visit: https://msehospitalscharity.co.uk/
