Ladybird Nursery is flying high after ‘good’ Ofsted rating
The children’s nursery at Southend Hospital has been rated ’good’ in all areas in its latest Ofsted report.
It stated that Ladybird Nursery continues to create a caring and supportive space, where children are happy and feel confident.
The nursery, part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, was recognised for its experienced and responsible staff in the report, which also highlighted the nursery’s overall caring atmosphere and good standards.
A delighted Lynda Bartholomew, the manager of Ladybird Nursery, said: "It is wonderful to be awarded ‘good’ and I would like to thank our parents and carers for their constant support. We are a real community and running a successful and vibrant nursery such as ours is a team effort.
“This recognition wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated and passionate staff, who all put in such an amazing amount of hard work to make Ladybird Nursery what it is."
During the inspection, the nursery was caring for 91 children, all aged four and under, with inspectors finding that the staff understood these children’s needs well.
The nursery’s safeguarding, recruitment, and incident-reporting practices were also praised by the inspectors.
