New system will give patients access to their health records

A new online system for our patients, to give them and the people involved in their care easier, secure access to their health records, has been launched. Called Patients Know Best (PKB), it can be accessed via the NHS App using your NHS login, or through the online portal using any web browser, on any device.

What information is being added?

Currently, only the name and contact information for patients aged 16 years or older are being added to the system. This will be followed by upcoming appointment details and in-patient discharge summaries. This process will take several weeks, so you will not have access to all this information in PKB just yet and we will let you know once all the information has been added.

If you have pre-registered for PKB, or have used the portal with another healthcare provider, you will receive an email notification from PKB as soon as new information is added to your record.

Getting started with PKB

While we're working on adding more information to the system, you can get started setting up your PKB account and navigating the systems features. Visit our webpage here to find out more and contact our dedicated PKB support team at mseicb-bb.pkbsupport@nhs.net with any questions.
