Blood cancer is a type of cancer that affects your blood cells.

Over 40,000 people are diagnosed with a blood cancer each year in the UK, and over 250,000 people are currently living with it.

There are different types of blood cancer, including:

  • leukaemia 
  • lymphoma
  • myeloma
  • myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)
  • myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN)

What we offer

Each blood cancer has different symptoms, treatments and prognoses.

We hold clinics specialist for patients with this condition Monday to Friday at all three of our main hospitals (Broomfield, Basildon and Southend), and also at Orsett Hospital.
